While people and planet give ESG its heart, process provides its backbone. At Lightstorm, our processes are the codified expression of our responsibility — ensuring that every decision, every partnership, and every innovation is guided by principles of safety, security, and sustainability. 

Supply Chain Integrity 

We demand the same commitment from our suppliers that we expect of ourselves. Bi-annual ESG and EHS training ensures our ecosystem partners are aligned with our standards. Procurement is carefully managed, sourcing from ISO9000/27000 certified vendors listed by the Department of Telecommunications. Compliance with e-waste regulations is enforced, and diversity in vendor selection is actively promoted. 

Prioritizing Health and Safety 

Safety is non-negotiable. Our published Health and Safety Plan covers offices, sites, and data centre, creating a consistent standard across locations. Annual training equips internal representatives to manage risks, while bi-annual training sessions ensure contractors and suppliers are equally prepared. 

Securing the Digital Core 

Trust in digital infrastructure depends on data security. We conduct bi-annual cybersecurity training, regular risk assessments, and adhere strictly to ISO and DoT requirements. Our systems comply with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and GDPR, supported by ISO27001 certification. Encryption safeguards data both in transit and at rest, while role-based access ensures that information is only available to those who need it. 

The result: zero data breaches — a record we are committed to maintaining. 

Driving Innovation Responsibly 

Process is also about how we innovate. Partnerships with AWS Green Cloud, Cisco, PWC, and others allow us to pilot sustainable, next-generation solutions. From pioneering AI-powered digital twins in network operations to collaborating with hyperscale's like Google, AWS, and Oracle, our innovation agenda is structured around responsibility and resilience. 

Culture of Accountability and Inclusion 

Internally, processes are equally important in shaping culture. Employee Resource Groups — such as the Women of Lightstorm forum — provide platforms for community and advocacy. Mandatory training on prevention of sexual harassment, compliance, and onboarding ensures that responsibility is not just embedded in systems, but in people’s daily experiences. 

Certification and Beyond 

Certifications like ISO9001 (Quality Management), ISO27001 (Information Security), and ISO45001 (Occupational Health & Safety, in progress) are external validations of our rigor. But for us, they are not endpoints. They are milestones in a journey where the ultimate goal is trust: with customers, employees, and society.
